  • Appeals Review: Evaluate formal appeals by reviewing all submitted evidence, cross-referencing information, and applying company policies and regulatory guidelines.

  • Decision Making: Formulate fair and unbiased decisions based on your findings, ensuring all resolutions are well-reasoned and supported by documented evidence.

  • Documentation & Communication: Maintain meticulous records of all investigations, findings, and resolutions. Communicate clearly and concisely with customers, as well as with internal teams and management, regarding case status and outcomes.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all complaint and appeals processes adhere to company standards and regulatory requirements, such as those from the Better Business Bureau (BBB) or other governing bodies.

  • Process Improvement: Identify trends in complaints and appeals to suggest potential improvements to company policies, procedures, or products to prevent future issues.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: Proven experience (2+ years preferred) in a complaints, claims, or appeals-related role, ideally within a regulated industry like finance, insurance, or healthcare.

  • Analytical Prowess: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to review complex information, identify key issues, and draw logical conclusions.

  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential for documenting case findings and corresponding with customers professionally and empathetically.

  • Problem-Solving: A proactive and systematic approach to problem-solving, with a knack for identifying root causes and finding fair solutions.

  • Technical Proficiency: Comfort with using various software and databases, including Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools and case management systems.

  • Self-Motivation: The discipline and organizational skills to manage an independent workload in a fully remote environment.
